Speaking in the House of Lords on 15 May 2025

Debate

Renters’ Rights Bill

Contribution

My Lords, one of the things I am learning about this place is that by tabling amendments to legislation you get to discuss aspects of policy. I was not here for the other debate, but I thought there were some deficiencies in what was being proposed. I am very pleased to hear about the actions taken by Matthew Pennycook, the Minister. That is welcome news, and I think that will be welcomed right across the country. I would be grateful if the Minister could put the letter in the Library so that everybody can see this. With that, I beg leave to withdraw.
