Data (Use and Access) Bill [Lords]

Contribution

The hon. Member is making some important points. As Lord Brennan said recently, this Bill is an opportunity to regulate AI: “This Bill, this bus, is an opportunity that the Government should be getting on rather than waiting for another bus several years down the road”.—[Official Report, House of Lords, 12 May 2025; Vol. 845, c. 1932.] This bus is leaving now, along with the opportunity to protect our creative rights. Does the hon. Member agree with me and share my concern that the Government are going to miss the bus?
