15: Leave out Clause 2 and insert the following new Clause— “Assured tenancy exemption: new build propertiesAssured shorthold tenancies are abolished except in relation to premises whose current tenants are the first tenants since the construction of the premises, and only for the period of six months beginning with the day on which the tenancy began.”Member’s explanatory statement This amendment would allow an assured short-term tenancy for six months after a premises is constructed.
