Motion made, and Question put forthwith (Standing Order No. 118(6)), Church of England (General Synod) (Measures) [Relevant document: 246th Report of the Ecclesiastical Committee, Chancel Repair (Church Commissioners’ Liability) Measure; Church Funds Investment Measure, HC 771.] That the Chancel Repair (Church Commissioners’ Liability) Measure (HC 773), passed by the General Synod of the Church of England, be presented to His Majesty for his Royal Assent in the form in which it was laid before Parliament. That the Church Funds Investment Measure (HC 772), passed by the General Synod of the Church of England, be presented to His Majesty for his Royal Assent in the form in which it was laid before Parliament.—(Marsha de Cordova.) Financial Assistance Motion made, and Question put forthwith (Standing Order No. 118(6)), That this House authorises the Secretary of State to undertake to pay, and to pay by way of financial assistance under section 8 of the Industrial Development Act 1982, a grant or grants exceeding £30 million and up to a total of £129 million to BioNTech UK Limited to support their planned expansion of Research and Development and Artificial Intelligence activities in the UK over the next 10 years.—(Gen Kitchen.)
