Instead of sticking our head in the sand and avoiding the big decisions, we have set out a plan to deliver the future that the North Sea’s workers and communities deserve. It is a plan to co-ordinate the scale-up of clean energy industries, from offshore wind and hydrogen to carbon capture and storage; a plan to give the oil and gas sector the support and clarity it needs to continue operating for decades to come; a plan for energy security and sustainable economic growth; and a plan to keep working with the people who matter most—the North Sea’s businesses, workers, communities and trade unions—to take advantage of the tremendous opportunities of the years ahead together.
