This amendment was inspired in part by our debate earlier in Committee about the gender impacts of the Bill and the utter inadequacy of the Treasury’s so-called impact statement in relation to the impact on gender. I referenced then at some length the work of the Women’s Budget Group on the Budget more broadly, particularly the national insurance rise.
