Amendment 194A would require the Secretary of State before designating any place or vehicle as vape-free to publish the evidence relied on and to be satisfied that exposure to vapour in those settings presents a health risk sufficient to justify the restriction. This is to ensure that, where the state restricts behaviour and curtails liberty, it does so on the basis of clear and demonstrable evidence.
