Tobacco and Vapes BillContribution
On vaping, the Chief Medical Officer’s advice has always been clear that although it is less harmful than smoking and vapes can indeed, as we have discussed, be an effective quit aid for adult smokers, non-smokers and children should not vape. Since I have set out my comments on heated tobacco at earlier stages, I will simply summarise. There is no safe level of tobacco consumption. All tobacco products are harmful, and that includes heated tobacco products. The point made by the noble Baroness, Lady Walmsley, about devices is not relevant to this group of amendments, but I will be pleased to write to her on that.
