8: Clause 45, page 42, line 23, at end insert— “(5A) A public authority must not disclose information about an individual under this section unless the information—(a) is clearly defined and accompanied by metadata, and(b) the public authority is able to attest that it—(i) was accurate at the time it was recorded, and(ii) has not been changed or tampered, or(c) the public authority is able to attest that it—(i) has been corrected through a lawfully made correction, and(ii) was accurate at the time of the correction.”Member’s explanatory statement This amendment is to ensure that public authorities that disclose information via the information gateway provide accurate and reliable information and that if the information has been corrected it is the correct information that is provided.
