If the Labour party does not care about the jobs that will be cost by this policy, the harm it will do to our prospects for a just transition or the damage to the Scottish economy, surely it can see that a tax increase that reeks of incoherent desperation and reduces tax receipts to the tune of £12 billion is, at the very least, suboptimal.
