Debate

Detention of Alaa Abd el-Fattah

Contribution

Having been pressed on this case twice in a day, I am more than happy to commit to return to the House within a month to give a further update. We will continue to push Egypt for a resolution and I thank my right hon. Friend for his interest in the case, and many others in this House for their interest. I have no doubt that I will be regularly coming to the House to update Members on our efforts in relation to Mr el-Fattah, and I know that the whole House is thinking of his mother and the rest of his family during this incredibly difficult time. Question put and agreed to.
