Tomorrow, when the Budget is revealed and Government Members are defending the difficult choices that the Government will make on behalf of their constituents, they should consider how much this Secretary of State and his team are costing them: £12 billion in tax receipts has been lost from the North sea to press ahead to end oil and gas licences, a move no other major economy has taken; and £8 billion will be spent on Great British Energy, a duplicate of the UK Infrastructure Bank, with no accountability to lower bills or do the things they promised their constituents. That is £20 billion right there.
