That raises a more worrying question. If they are saying that they are making payments to a parent company to pay off debt, that means that the company’s debt is parked somewhere else and that its leverage or gearing—its debt—is understated. I hope that the Minister will tell us at some point by how much the debt of companies such as Yorkshire Water and Thames Water is understated, because some of it is parked somewhere else.
