I turn to Amendment 22 in the name of the noble Lord, Lord Remnant. As I previously mentioned and we have discussed, Ofwat is currently consulting on the rules for consumer representation in water companies. Ofwat has proposed that the rules could set out a range of options by which companies comply with the requirement to put in place arrangements for involving consumers in decisions that are likely to have a material impact on them. I would like to reassure the Committee that companies and other interested parties will be able to feed in their views on the proposed rules in response to this consultation and the statutory consultation that will take place ahead of the implementation of the rules.
