87B: After Clause 15, insert the following new Clause— “Review of voting arrangements: Greater London Authority’s consolidated council tax requirement (1) The Secretary of State must carry out a review of the voting arrangements for determining the Greater London Authority’s consolidated council tax requirement. (2) The review under subsection (1) must consider the situation of the Authority in the context of the budget-setting arrangements for strategic authorities in other regions, and make recommendations on whether there is a case for reducing the majority required for the Greater London Authority. (3) The review under subsection (1) must be published within one year of the passing of this Act.”
