Agriculture (Delinked Payments) (Reductions) (England) Regulations 2026

Contribution

The issue of red diesel and fuel supplies for farmers came up. We are aware that developments in the Middle East could well have an impact on the long-term supply and prices of red diesel. At the moment, it is a short-term issue that we hope will be resolved fairly quickly. We benefit from strong, diverse sources of energy supplies, including red diesel. We know that we are well stocked for all fuel types at the moment, and Fuels Industry UK has been clear that fuel production and imports are continuing across the UK as usual. Importantly, however, the Competition and Markets Authority has also put the industry on notice that it is monitoring petrol and diesel prices closely so that people do not take advantage and put up prices in an unfair way.
