The state visit by His Majesty the King is a powerful reminder of the deep and special relationship we have with the United States. In this Session of Parliament, this Labour Government have delivered the biggest upgrade in workers’ rights in a generation, the biggest improvement in renters’ rights in a generation, and more action than any other Government to tackle child poverty. In the King’s Speech, I look forward to setting out what more we will do to change our country for the better. This morning I had meetings with ministerial colleagues and others. I shall have further such meetings later today.
