The amendment would also provide overall protection in new subsection (6)(g), specifying that the self-administration of a substance to end one’s own life is not a medical treatment for that terminal illness but a personal choice concerning life and death, as has already been explained so well by the noble Viscount, Lord Colville. As in other amendments in this group, it is specified in new subsection (7) that
