That becomes particularly important when we think about patients with frontal lobe disorders, as addressed in subsection (5)(c). These are people who can appear to have complete capacity until you look at their ability to understand and retain the implications of their decision for themselves and others. Frontal lobe disorders can be very difficult to detect.
