Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill

If accepted, Amendment 235 could be challenged on the basis that excluding people with learning disabilities, mental disorders or autism may not be justified under Article 2 or 8 of the ECHR, and/or may be unjustified discrimination under Article 14. As I have already noted, any differential treatment would need to be objectively and reasonably justified to comply with ECHR obligations.
