Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) BillContribution
We all remember what happened with the Liverpool death pathway. The doctors who were assigning people on to that pathway were not Harold Shipman characters; they were not malicious but they genuinely believed that, since these people were going to die, putting them on this pathway was the sensible thing to do. It expedited matters and created a climate whereby that was the right thing to do. I am simply concerned that a similar climate might be created in care homes when someone has a terminal illness.
