There are real concerns about the Government’s approach to the North Sea and their policies towards its oil and gas reserves. These are not just about yet again increasing the cost burden on the industry but about jobs, the income that could be derived to the Treasury, security of supply of our own reserves in the North Sea and, in Aberdeen, the future of that great city and the loss of jobs, which amounts to nearly 1,000 a month.
