Representation of the People BillContribution
Under our system, at constituency level, people have the opportunity to choose an individual to represent them. They can hold that person accountable, and can ultimately remove them, if they wish, at the next election. Under proportional representation, the decision on who gets to serve in Parliament would be made not by the people, but by the central offices of political parties.
