I am grateful to the hon. Member for Belfast South and Mid Down (Claire Hanna) and my hon. Friend the Member for Leeds Central and Headingley (Alex Sobel) for putting their names to new clause 39. I support the new clause, which prohibits intimidation at polling stations, not least because I have experienced some of the things that it talks about. It is a serious issue, and at its worst it means that voters find it difficult to get into polling stations because of the intimidation outside them.
