Representation of the People BillContribution
Since 1913, the political fund of trade unions has been well regulated. We know what the rules are—goodness knows, many of us have spent hours in deathly boring meetings going through them to make sure that they are being upheld—and we know that the role of trade unions in our political movement is evolving when it comes to funding, but I for one want to ensure that it is heard loudly and clearly. I recognise that our trade unions regularly—because of the law—poll their members on how to spend their money; we cannot say the same about the crypto millionaires.
