(2) Section 56(1) of PPERA 2000 (verifying identity etc of donor) has effect in relation to the donation as if it required all reasonable steps to verify or ascertain whether, in connection with the donation, the cap in section 55B(1)(b) of that Act is exceeded to be taken as soon as reasonably practicable on or after the commencement day (as well as requiring other steps to be taken forthwith on receipt of the donation).
