The Government have an opportunity to take a practical step forward to help people with the cost of living by extending a regulatory regime that exists in other parts of the United Kingdom. There are no legal or other risks attached. There is no cost to the Government—quite the opposite. I therefore urge the Minister to seriously consider the points that have been made. I would like to think that he could bring forward some proposals by Third Reading.
