Armed Forces Bill

The Bill does not, as I understand it, guarantee Scottish representation on the national board; nor does it guarantee the continuing role, powers or membership of Scottish regional councils in primary legislation. The strength of the RFCAs lies precisely in their ability to connect defence with civil society—something that is a very current issue in these uncertain times, as we seek to deliver the recommendations of the SDR and to meet our NATO commitments.
