This debate goes to the crux of what we are arguing about. As I say, many people have spent more years than I have in developing the reserve forces and cadets associations. They have spent their lives on it, and no one wishes to detract from that. It is important to say that, because noble Lords here have made speech after speech saying that what the Government are proposing is wrong, and it is important that I articulate the Government’s point of view, which is different but tries not to be disrespectful to the positions people hold.
