Public Office (Accountability) BillContribution
I am conscious of another amendment that basically says that people overly rely on self-incrimination, but there are challenges here: “I am not sure that I did do that”, “I didn’t do it recklessly”, or, “I didn’t do it knowing it was going to lead to this outcome”. Meanwhile, somebody might be able to find a paper or minutes of a committee meeting published two, three or 10 years beforehand which would lead to them saying, “How could you have come to that conclusion? Surely you should have been aware”.
