All that is needed from the Government is a small amount of additional funding for the Independent Public Advocate, which, as the noble Baroness, Lady Sanderson, just pointed out, could well repay the cost. It could save many times more that in the legal fees that could be saved through such a collective endeavour. I understand this is perhaps a new thought for my noble friend the Minister, and if he is not immediately ready to support the amendment, I would be grateful if he could agree to meet me and the public advocate to discuss how best to move forward on this probing amendment.
