Debate

Public Office (Accountability) Bill

Contribution

My Lords, I am very grateful for the comments of both the noble and learned Lord, Lord Keen of Elie, and the Minister, even though I and, I am sure, my noble friend Lord Marks would disagree with them. Given the comments made by the Minister about the Government giving consideration to some alternative, I wonder whether it is worth meeting between Committee and Report. I am grateful to the Minister for assenting to that; I presume that the noble and learned Lord, Lord Keen, would quite like to be there as well. With that, I beg leave to withdraw the amendment.
