On Amendment 220A, it is well understood that co-production leads to better outcomes. The National Centre for Accessible Transport has highlighted this, raising the important point that lack of co-production means that accessibility is treated as an afterthought. Sustrans/Transport for All research, a national survey representative of over 1,107 disabled adults, recommend paying disabled people to be part of these access panels and advise on transport decisions. Expecting disabled people to hand over their knowledge for free does not feel very fair.
