Very briefly, Amendment 336 in the name of the noble Baroness, Lady Jones of Moulsecoomb, is important in terms of accessibility. The Passenger Railway Services (Public Ownership) Act 2024 made train operators fully subject to the public service equality duty. However, this status seems to be weakened by this Bill, listing only the parent company, GBR, in the Equality Act 2010’s PSED schedule. We need to ensure that not just GBR but all the companies underneath it comply.
