Railways BillContribution
Lastly, Amendment 336 specifies that Great British Railways and its companies would have to follow the public sector equality duty because, in reality, this has not been happening. That may seem like too much detail to go into the Bill—I am sure that we will hear from the Minister on that—but disabled people feel, quite rightly, that they do not receive the service they need. This is because, across the board, railway organisations and bodies do not automatically include disability and access at the heart of their design, contract and delivery decisions. That is why things go wrong.
