Finally, I am not going to bother the Committee with a precise explanation about whether the lifts at St Pancras work but, from what the noble Baroness told me this morning, I could give her an accurate description of when they were working and what was done to fix them—or rather, when they were not. More practically, she asked me some questions at the end of her opening speech, which I will of course answer, so far as I am able, in writing. I understand the point of her questions and, like her, would much rather spend the money she refers to, which goes on compensation and legal proceedings, on accessibility. That is obviously much better and completely the right thing to do.
