Crime and Policing Bill

Amendment 458 takes a different approach to the same problem. It would require the Secretary of State to publish annual reports concerning the number of babies born alive following attempted abortions procured outside the current Abortion Act framework, as well as the number of women who have experienced medical complications, including maternal deaths. By concentrating solely on the abortions enabled by Clause 191, the amendment would provide Parliament with vital information about the consequences of this change.
