Courts and Tribunals BillContribution
As I said, the Bill is also about making our justice system work better for victims and survivors, and I know that this part of the Bill commands a good degree of consensus across the House. Based on Law Commission research, it introduces vital reforms on giving evidence to challenge harmful myths about rape and sexual violence, such as preconceptions about how a victim should behave or respond. We are also making special measures easier to access and simpler for practitioners to navigate, so that victims feel safer, better supported and able to give their best evidence.
