Courts and Tribunals BillContribution
The Government remain committed to repealing the presumption of parental involvement in the Children Act 1989. Alongside a national roll-out of child-focused courts, this measure strengthens our approach to protecting children from the harm posed by abusive parents. Today we are joined in the Gallery by Claire Throssell, whom I have had the pleasure of meeting and who has campaigned so bravely and tirelessly for this change, following the tragic murder of her sons Jack and Paul. I also pay tribute to my hon. Friend the Member for Penistone and Stocksbridge (Dr Tidball) for her tireless work on that campaign.
