Youth Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Support

Contribution

Certainly, we need to learn from best practice wherever it occurs to make sure that we can look after our young people and keep them safe. We need to urgently take steps to close the gap in support for young people. There are organisations that are willing to provide a helpline and that have the skills and ability to support young people. The administrators are working with those organisations, but they are keen to speak to the Government about what help might be available to make those plans a reality. The Government have an opportunity to come to the table, create dependable support for people under 35 and set a precedent of care for those who need this vital service.
