Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill

Contribution

“helpful”, of course, is subjective. It is not just ideal; it is essential. This Bill is one of the most ethically consequential pieces of legislation to be debated not just in this Parliament but in decades. It requires a thorough assessment of the issues and identification of the gaps in data, not just a focus on some areas, leaving highly consequential aspects to be covered at some later point without any substantial scrutiny, as is the case with statutory instruments or codes of practice.

About Hansard

Hansard is the official verbatim record of proceedings in the UK Parliament. Every word spoken in the Commons and Lords is recorded and published — this page is a single contribution from that record.
