At the most obvious level, we do not allow murder, even if you believe murder to be justified. At a more prosaic level, we are not allowed to define for ourselves what the content and obligations of marriage are; they are defined in law on the basis of an understanding of the purpose of marriage. If you have a different view, that is interesting, but it does not affect the constraints that you are working in.
