Northern Ireland Troubles BillContribution
I am standing up for the soldiers who served but who did not hear the stories because they were in the stories. They saw this at first hand. Our brave servicemen and women whom we sent to the troubles, or anywhere, had to do some of the most horrendous things in the name of freedom and protecting the country. I have seen that at first hand. Most of these veterans spend their time trying to forget the things that they saw. They come out occasionally, with a few mates around a couple of beers, or they do not come out at all, but we are asking them to relive those things, many years on.
