Northern Ireland Troubles BillContribution
When I ask colleagues to consider amendment 23, I do so for a number of reasons. First, the legacy commission has cross-jurisdictional abilities, but the Omagh inquiry does not. Secondly, the Omagh families are again in Dublin tomorrow with their judicial review, in the hope that they can secure truth and justice for their families. Let us remember that the Omagh families are not of one nation, nor are they of two; they are from Spain, the Republic of Ireland, the United Kingdom and others—of all creeds and none.
