To Mrs Jones, I would have to say, “I can’t give you what you want.” This material is from 50 years ago, and memories fade and change. The material submitted through the course of this process may be a pale reflection of the reality on the ground at the time. What we know is what was investigated at the time through the processes available then. That surely has primacy, because that was contemporaneous, not through the prism of 50 years. It is impossible to contemporaneously investigate events now.
