Northern Ireland Troubles BillContribution
That is one of the reasons why many of us are keen on having immediate justice. Justice delayed is justice denied. Fifty years later, is someone going to get justice? I do not think they are. The version of justice that they end up with may be off beam and unsafe. That is one of my big concerns. We should always strive for it, and the Secretary of State is quite right to try to do his best with his Bill and his amendments, but we need to be realistic with Mrs Jones and say to her, “We are unlikely to give you everything that you want, much as we would wish it not to be so.” [Interruption.] The Secretary of State is twitching. I wonder if he wants to disagree with me.
