Northern Ireland Troubles BillContribution
I urge the Secretary of State to look kindly on how we address this important issue. As the Bill progresses through Parliament, we need to try to find a solution. I am not convinced that this amendment is the right way, but I would like a commitment to finding another way, because the traditional approach to dealing with sexual crimes will not work in these circumstances, as the hon. Member for South Antrim and the right hon. Member for Belfast East (Gavin Robinson) discussed. We are not serving women well in dealing with sex crimes anyway, and certainly not in this case. I will, however, certainly support the Bill.
