This new clause sets out principles which apply to investigations, inquisitorial proceedings and inquests to be carried out under this Bill and concerning the conduct of members of the armed forces or police. It provides, in particular, that relevant persons must not regard lawful action taken in the course of duty as equivalent to action taken for terrorist purposes.
