I worked on this subject many years ago before I was an MP, as a barrister. I was involved in working on behalf of the MOD, defending our soldiers against vexatious and malicious claims brought by people in Iraq against our brave soldiers who were engaged in military action out there. Litigation and class actions—resulting in zero convictions, mind you—were initiated by Shiner, and Starmer and, I am afraid, Hermer were involved. That disgraceful trio should hang their heads in shame for the part they played in bringing legal actions, unfairly and unjustifiably, against our brave British troops.
