Northern Ireland Troubles Bill

Contribution

Actually, it is veterans themselves who have made that point to me. I will reference one of them: David Crabbe, who was in this building yesterday with the Commission for Victims and Survivors for Northern Ireland, has contributed a huge wealth of experience. In fact, I will mention another one: Mary Moreland, a constituent of mine, is a veteran in her own right, whose husband was shot dead—murdered—in cold blood by the IRA. If she is prepared to support this Bill, imperfect and all as it is, then so am I, because this is the last-chance saloon.
